Review of VIPKID
It’s been quite some time since I’ve posted last regarding work from home careers, and opportunities.
While I was away, I partnered with a company called VIPKID. This company connects US (and Canadian) teachers with students in China to teach them English.
This is all done virtually. I truly enjoy teaching virtual ESL, and I control 100% of my schedule!
At minimum, a bachelors degree is required. Experience can help if you do not have a teaching credential. Professionalism, and promptness is key in getting hired.
The interview, and hiring process is a little lengthy, but pretty straight forward. It’s fun work, and it allows you to work with some pretty awesome children.
Controlling 100% of your schedule allows you to make your work schedule accommodate your life, and not the other way around. What’s more, you can make this a full-time, or a part-time position. You’ll just need to be ready to put the time in.
This is great for college graduates, current teachers, or former teachers. And, ‘ESL teacher’ would be a definite plus on a resume/curriculum vitae for future positions.
As with most teaching jobs, pay is once a month. You are also paid per completed class, and can make up to $50,000 a year.
This is not a get rich quick opportunity. So, if that is what you are looking for then this probably isn’t for you.
VIPKID is an opportunity for current, future, or former educators created by educators to help children learn English all from the comfort of your home.
So, if you’re interested click the VIPKID link. And, please mention Angela Williams, as current teachers receive an incentive for referring awesome teachers.
I hope that you’ll enjoy VIPKID as much as I do.
When hired, please join one of the many VIPKID support groups on Facebook.
